Day 10: Wise Angels
It’s great to be here, talking to you. I know I didn’t write yesterday. I thought about it. But, lots had my attention. We spent a beautiful day out in Bragg Creek and took Hanna to Allen Bill’s Pond. The sun was bursting with excitement, warming our faces as we played. For a few hours, I thought of nothing else but how much I love being amidst a generous sun, blue sky and sparkling water.
What a much needed siesta for my mind. You see, ever since I announced my concert and CD initiation last week, my mind has been running marathons. It’s been exhausting (but important) to watch just how busy it becomes with excuses and worries and fears. Normally, I’d be running the marathon with it thinking this is all just part of the journey.
But this time, my journey is different. I’m being called to witness. Why is it that we let our minds, laced with feelings of lack and limitation, take over when we declare something magnificent for ourselves? It’s almost absurd to give it the reigns knowing full well it will run this wagon right off the road only to say, “See, I told you this was a bad idea.”
Last night, I pulled the angel card Challenge. It spoke of accepting my spiritual initiation as I birth new dreams into the world… to accept guidance from my angelic teachers versus try to do everything on my own.
“The true challenge in your life involves your willingness to confront your own inner demons and to allow your deeply felt dreams and aspirations from your spirit to surface into your life. This is called initiation.” - from Angelic Messenger Cards by Meredith L. Young-Sowers
The angels reminds me that it is Divine Love that will bring desires into actuality — I no longer need to live without my dreams. It’s time to overcome my inner resistance. My favourite line was the last one:
Run all choices past your deeper intuition versus your mental programming.
Ah yes. This guidance is bang on. I know it because my body relaxes as I take it in. Thank you angels, I’m listening. But seriously, I could use a bit more guidance in this department. So keep it coming, OK?
