Word of the Week: Embody

I love this word embody and its many definitions (from dictionary.com)

- to give bodily form to; to embrace; to represent or express something abstract in tangible form; to collect into or include in a body.

We are living, breathing, walking, talking embodiments of our belief systems, thoughts and corresponding emotions. I know for myself, my physical body and state of health truly reflect that which I’m embodying on an emotional level. I’ve been paying particular attention to this lately as a friend of mine said that she’s worried about me. She notices yet another head cold I’m experiencing… one that loves to linger in my presence. Perhaps I’m taking on too much, she offers.

I can’t say for sure that I’m taking on too much. But yes, I’m deeply aware of my symptoms. How interesting that I’ve had a ‘head cold’, especially as I’ve been paying more attention lately to what fuels my heart.

head cold –> heart warm

My symptoms have traveled from my head to my throat and chest. Whatever they have to tell me, I’m listening. In the meantime, I choose to embody the qualities of life that I adore so much: passion, creativity, vulnerability, unity, inspiration, peace, radiance, sparkle and joy.

So, my word of the week is embody. What’s yours?
