Word of the Week: Surrender

I’ve begun this fun exercise with myself. Care to join me? It’s called “Word of the Week”. Pick a word that inspires you… that perhaps pulls you forward from whatever external circumstances you are experiencing… a word that reminds you of your divinity, and guides your actions.

My word of the week: SURRENDER. What’s yours?

After hearing a particularly thought-provoking sermon this morning, I would have to say my word for the week (and longer!) is COMMUNITY. In this ‘It’s All About Me’ age, I feel the need to check my ego at the door and reconnect with the communities I once contributed to so heartily, and find new communities to offer my strengths to.

Fantastic concept, by the way! What a wonderful vehicle to expand our vision of ourselves and how we connect and move with the world around us.

Don’t I know exactly what you’re talking about Debbie!!! Think about all the time we contributed to Tryzub — our second family at the time. What an enriching experience!

I would love to have been at that thought-provoking sermon, by the way.

AND I can’t wait to see what your word is next week. I’ll post mine on Sundays.

P.S. Maybe ‘community’ is more like your “theme of the year”. There are many communities who would be honoured to share in your gifts!
